Endless Style at Endless Knot

Parisian style outfits at Endless Knot in Seattle.

Shopping the Indies on 1st took Amy from Sassafras and I to six independent shops in the historic neighborhood of Belltown in Seattle. I wrote previously of two of those shops–the Federal Army & Navy Surplus and Sell Your Sole Consignment. And before the week is out, I’ll have even more about the other places we visited.

Maggie from Blue Hour Photography hung out with us that day and captured all the fun. All the photos in my posts about the Indies on 1st are her work.

Welcome to Endless Knot in Seattle.

Amy and I received the warmest of welcomes at Endless Knot. This boutique offers a diverse collection of contemporary clothing, accessories, and handmade jewelry.

American-made and woman-owned brands are at the heart of their collection. The owner, Anne, understands on a personal level the value of supporting women in the industry. She was once a fashion designer of her own clothing line, Endless Knot Art.

Today, she and her team maintain Endless Knot as a boutique filled with endless possibilities for their customers.

That Perfect Something

Diana, one of the amazing stylists at Endless Knot, put together the outfit pictured below for me. Maggie captured my expression seconds after I walked out of the dressing room and looked into the mirror.

I was completely smitten.

This outfit could not fit my personality and style better. It has that perfect something that expresses how I like to stand in the world. The outfit is uncomplicated and yet it’s unique. The fabrics are warm and cozy. The proportions are flattering to my body. Even as I write this, I am wearing the cardigan. I can’t seem to take it off, it’s so special.

I bought the entire outfit, minus the cream-colored top since I already had a similar one in my wardrobe already. And I had to give Diana a big hug for putting this together.

Elegant Polkadots Fairy Tales Are Made Of

Amy looks practically ethereal in a polkadot dress she tried on. It had a sheer black fit-and-flare dress over a black slip. The sheer overlay was embroidered with bright polkadots and black hash marks.

It’s part retro, part modern. It would be a fun dress to ring in the New Year.

Velvet for the Holidays–or Any Day

And speaking of the holidays and New Year, Endless Knot has endless options for dressing up this season.

We all agreed that the dress pictured below could be dressed up for a party or worn simply styled for brunch with the ladies.

The dark teal velvet is a lovely canvas to show off a special piece of jewelry. I borrowed the necklace in that photo from Diana, but Endless Knot has lots of handmade jewelry to sparkle against such a rich backdrop.

The little velvet number below definitely needs a party to go to. For a party dress, the boots I had on in the photo weighted the look down too much. Switch them out for pointed-toe booties or heels and it’s a party winner.

Even this dress can be dressed more casually, though. I liked this hat with it and thought it might look pretty chic with some tights, thigh-high boots, and a fabulous jacket.

And, according to Amy, Endless Knot has the best tights ever. Below is a photo of Diana giving me a tour of their wide selection.

Holiday gifts

Once you’ve found the perfect outfit for holiday parties, the team at Endless Knot can help you find perfect gifts for so many people on your list.

Sweaters, scarves, fun socks, jewelry, handbags, hats, and gloves–Amy and I got so many ideas as we shopped the store. (And, in case it isn’t obvious from all our smiles, we had a lot of fun doing it, too.)

Endless Knot for Personal Style

Anne and her crew at Endless Knot have created a dreamscape store in which a person can receive a warm welcome, friendly help, and find those perfect pieces that help define one’s personal style for any occasion. I can’t wait to go back.

Giving Back Through Belltown Unites

As mentioned in my previous two posts about the Indies on 1st, all six of these shops, along with a few others, have formed a partnership called Belltown Unites. Their goal is to play a vital role in the improvement of Seattle’s landscape. Anne and her team at Endless Knot have joined up with Belltown Unites. This means they are participating in the donation campaign with Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission to provide hats and scarves to the 6000 people living in Seattle without a home.

From November 25 through January 25, customers can visit Endless Knot and participate in this campaign. For more information about how you can contribute, contact the team at Endless Knot via email or phone. Information listed below.

Endless Knot is located at 2300 1st Avenue in Seattle. They have an online store where you can purchase from a collection of what they offer in the store. To chat with Anne or any of her incredibly competent team members, call 206-448-0355 or email shop@endlessknotseattle.com.

I loved this store, and if I hadn’t already spent most of my wad at Sassafras, I might have indulged here too!!!
It’s the best thing ever, to support the local businesses. In fact, we are planning on venturing out to our little downtown Littleton, on the Small Business Saturday!!
And the outfit you bought? Just perfection!!

YOU ARE TOO CUTE TO…NOT WEAR A HAT!!!!
The outfit that Diana put together for you is great! The fact that it feels flattering and cozy at the same time makes it even more perfect and you really do look absolutely darling in that hat (and any other similar one). The sweater color is so pretty with your eyes and tied at the waist of the swingy skirt is perfection. You may need a coordinating rain trench especially to wear with the hat !!
I think you’re doing an amazing job of recreating the ambiance and very personal touch that Sassafras and Endless Knot wrap you in as you shop their offerings. I know that some of that is due to the charm and enthusiasm of one Sherry Dryja. Your sense of community and loving spirit just sprinkle from you like fairy dust Sherry. Also the collective resolve of Belltown Unites, to assist Seattle’s homeless population is impactful, hopeful and a powerful motivator for other business groups. You are helping that cause with these fun and informative posts Sherry. THAT’S holiday spirit.
